James Briggs runs his own business called Must Weld Motorsport where he builds race/drift cars. He is the current head Scrutineer for Drift League GB and has been for the last few years.
Due to the fantastic rule book of Drift League GB, he was able to go back to his roots as a Volkswagen lover and built a one-of-a-kind RWD MK1 golf! It has a BMW e36 front subframe and m50b25 engine which he’s added a pulsar turbo on, making 400hp. He’s running a mx5 rear subframe with a modified diff.
Jamie started in Class 2, quickly progressing to Class 1 where he never fails to impress in the beautifully presented Golf. His car gets a lot of attention as it’s a very unusual drift car, and you can often see the car at various demos and shows around the country.
